More art!!

Today I have some miscellaneous art pictures for you.  I actually went through a short stamp making frenzy for a bit.  I made these Texas Stamps....

And I made address stamps for myself and my mom.  I lost the desire to carve after that, though I am sure it will return at some point.

This last picture shows a page where I really was just playing around, but I really like how it turned out.  Sometimes I think you get the best results when you just play and have no plan! Also, its a lot less stress that way and we can all use less stress, right?

Art Every Day Month 2014

Did you know that November is art every day month??  This is probably the 4th or 5th year that I have participated.  On the 1st of November I made some ATCs for a swap hosted by Rainbow Gecko Gallery  - The swap is to make 7 ATCs in rainbow colors... here are some of what I made:

And since I was on an ATC roll I made another one just because I wanted to:

I REALLY enjoyed making these cards.  Perhaps I should do ATCs more often!

Documented Life Week 20

Still way behind on sharing Documented Life Project photos with you, so this week will be my catch-up week!!

Week 20 - Use a stamp in a new way:

You can hardly tell in this photo but behind the black ink skeleton stamp is silver wings also stamped.

Red Hot Mailart

Last week I made some Valentines day mailart.  Here are the photos:

That last one is not Valentines day themed but I promised someone a web-design card so I finished it and sent it the same day as my other cards.   Are you doing handmade Valentines?

More Christmas Postcards

I really had a good time making them.  Well not really the cutting them out part but the gluing and taping things part was enjoyable.  Hopefully they arrive safely and brighten someone's day.

Christmas Postcards

This year I decided to make and send Christmas postcards instead of Christmas cards.   I made 21 cards!!  I wanted to show you some of the photos:

I only did 8 red and green ones.  The rest were blue snowflake cards!  Come back tomorrow to see the rest! 

Christmas Happy Art Swap Cards

Today I am going to show you the cards I made for the December Happy Art Swap - I made them Christmasy of course.  So, anyway, here are the cards:

The swap only requires 4 cards but you can send extra if you want so I figured I would this month.   When you send extra someone gets a surprise and gets extra cards which is nice.

Halloween Photos!

Just a few photos from Halloween!

 My class is AWESOME!  Almost everyone dressed up for class on Halloween!!  I was mother nature - I used the mask I made in symbols class and worse a green top with a brown skirt and sandals.

My Halloween art journal page!!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Frankenstein post-it!  I am going to use him year round because he is amusing!

Last week I was SUPER Stressed.  So, one night I said "screw it!" and instead of doing homework I made halloween mail art! So, for your viewing pleasure, here it is:

We got out of class that day - an unexpected surprise.  Did I use the time wisely?  Not really!  I went to see a Now You See Me with 2 of my classmates.  I vegged out at home and then went to bed early.  Occasionally you have to take a break from productivity!

School Supplies

Who wants boring school supplies? Not me.  Today I am going to share with you a few items I have decorated so they would no longer be "blah!"  First, I turned this file fold into a these folder:

And then I decorated this folder for class:

And I made this love page to go in the front sleeve of my thesis folder:

And I decorated this moleskin notebook for thesis notes:

Do, you see a theme?  I have started thesis - last week actually.  I am SCARED of it... so the pretty supplies are my attempt to keep it somewhat light hearted and also to make it not so scary.   Hopefully it works.

Do you want to know what I am studying?  I am going to study art journaling with veterans and how it can help improve their mental and physical health!  Fun stuff!!  : )

Yes, Gym Unicorn.  I was totally feeling the gym that day.  I had seen this on Pintrest

and it was stuck in my head, so it got put on a card!!
