Mom and I both love Downton Abbey so a tour of Highclere Castle (where the show is filmed) was on the top of our to-do list when we went to London. We couldn't get tickets to the castle so we ended up taking a tour that stopped at Oxford, Bampton (another filming location) and then Highclere Castle.
So, here are some photos from Oxford:
And when we went to Bampton - we found out they were filming Downton Abbey... we got to see it!!

The castle was really neat and the grounds were beautiful...but as you can see from this photo there were some storm clouds about and we did get some rain. It was really cool to see all the places that are the sets for Downton Abbey!
